If the weather is brilliant here at Sand Lake, you can go for a hike along the White Mountain
Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Pack River. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Bloom Creek, and if the weather is beautiful, you obtain a good panorama of Sand Mountain from Sand Lake.
For
the period of the summer highs here at Sand Lake reach the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 40's. Highs through the wintertime are mostly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Sand Lake.
