Beautiful Sand Lake has much to offer visitors. Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANDPOINT NORTH is a good place to get some rest, and not far from Sand Lake you'll locate Beaver Lake which is a pretty lake. It's a great idea to stop at Bloom Creek, it's close to Sand Lake. Lakes are delightful; Dennick Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Sand Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Sand Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Deep Creek Campground is a nice place for that, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Schweitzer if you're here. You'll need more than a day
to discover everything Sand Lake has to offer, you can camp at Blue Lake RV Park. Throughout the summer months highs here at Sand Lake reach the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Throughout the winter
highs are in the 30's, and night lows at Sand Lake during the wintertime usually dip into the 20's. Not much precipitation falls here at Sand Lake; November is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least
amount of precipitation.
At Sand Lake you can see Sand Mountain, and there's wonderful hiking along the Grouse Mountain Trail.

For the 2009 season, we have a new clubhouse group facility, bathhouse, amphitheater, dock, boat rentals, and 40 RV sites. 14 of them are 50amp fullhookup pull-thrus, 3 huge super sites overlooking the lake, and another 20 partial hookup sites. We also have camping cabins and covered wagons and Wooden pole tents with wooden floors. We also have internet, movie rentals, and sell propane too. This area has tons of hiking, fishing, hunting and canoing/kayaking in the Kootenai River. The Kootenai Wildlife Refuge is 5 miles away and is great to hike around. We have fishing and swimming in our 3 acre lake and have 2 huge Lakeside Firepits. Some of the sites have BBQs and Picnic Tables and we sell ice, wood, charcoal, pop, snacks and some RV hookup supplies. Here are a couple of great hikes to add to the site:
