Summertime highs at Sage Hen Reservoir generally tend to be in the 90's,       and during the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Sage Hen Reservoir. Joes Creek is a nice local stream, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Payette River - North Fork. You absolutely must go for the Salmon River Mountains. While you're here at Sage Hen Reservoir it's a good idea to explore Antelope Swale, and get soaked paddling on Payette River - North Fork. There are other places here than Sage Hen Reservoir, for example Hidden Lake, and if you came for an overnight stay Sage Hen Campground is a delightful place to camp. The amount of rainfall that falls at Sage Hen Reservoir is close to the national average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest of the months is July.
