Through the long summer days here at Saddle Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Saddle Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Clearwater Mountains. If only every spot had this much       outdoors entertaining things, what a great planet it would be. Take a hike on the Nez Perce Trail, and you can run the rapids of Selway River. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Saddle Lake you can take a hike along the Chamberlain Trail, and if you're here, you could also take a look at striking Bleak Creek Lake. Saddle Lake is a beautiful lake in the Clearwater Mountains. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Clearwater Mountains, not enough                  time. Poet Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground, and if the weather is lovely, you obtain a wonderful vista of Spread Creek Point from Saddle Lake. If you want to pop by some interesting stuff, pop by Ring Creek Point; Spread Point Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Bruin Creek Campground is a pleasant campground nearby; you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Old Nez Perce Indian Trail.
