Stevens Saddle is a magnificent place to spend some time at, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mccall-The Hunt Lodge, Id is a good choice. Having a good time at Ruth Lake is uncomplicated. Emerald Lake is a good lake near Ruth Lake, and Ruth Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Seven Devils Campground is a great spot to       camp nearby. There are other sites here than Ruth Lake, for example Crystal Lake, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little Salmon River. Through the summer months highs here at Ruth Lake reach the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Ruth Lake. So many enjoyable things in the Wallowa                  Mountains, just mind-boggling. Go for a hike on the Deep Creek Trail, and do pop by Mill Creek since you're here at Ruth Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Wallowa Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge, and going for a hike on the Old Boise Trail is always a good adventure. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Snake River, and Black Lake Campground is a delightful campground nearby. At Ruth Lake you don’t see much rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July.
