The beauty of Ruth Lake is reason enough to stop by. Ruth Lake is a beautiful lake in the Wallowa Mountains. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wallowa Mountains. A great nearby hotel is Western Mountain Lodge, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River. Ruth Lake is mostly a rather arid place; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain; the driest month is July.

| | This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Little Salmon River, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Deep Creek Trail. This place, Ruth Lake, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. If you came for an overnight stay Black Lake Campground is a wonderful spot to camp, and the top of Black Imp is easily seen from Ruth Lake. But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Wallowa Mountains. Camping at Ruth Lake is great fun, Seven Devils Campground is a great local campground, and why not take a little tour to Mill Creek if
you're here. Summertime highs at Ruth Lake mostly tend to be in the 90's with night lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Ruth Lake. This lake
is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a delightful choice.
Going for a hike along the Old Boise Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Ruth Lake is near Stevens Saddle which is beyond doubt worth visiting.
