Throughout the warm months, highs commonly are in the 70's at Ruby Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 30's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; overnight lows at Ruby Lake throughout the winter regularly fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. There are fine locations to look at along the Reed Bar Trail; the vista of gorgeous       Mineral Hill is great. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Clearwater Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at SUPER 8 MOTEL - GRANGEVILLE. Lakes? Sure, Bear Lake is close by. So many cool things to do in the Clearwater Mountains, not enough time. Don't leave Ruby Lake without first going for a hike along the Nellie Mountain Trail, and whitewater paddling is brilliant on Clearwater River - South Fork. A wonderful place to camp here at Ruby Lake                  is Wildhorse Lake Campground; there's perfect hiking along the Pilot Knob Trail. Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do close to Ruby Lake. A pleasant tour to Tepee Flats is a good way to spend an afternoon, and why not camp at Orogrande Summit Campground while you're here at Ruby Lake. The annual precipitation here at Ruby Lake is about average; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here, and the driest of the months is July.
