A visit to Round Lake is always a good idea. The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Through the summertime months at Round Lake highs are generally in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; night lows throughout the winter for Round Lake tend to be in the 0's. McCall is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Round Lake you can take a hike along the Nellie Mountain Trail, and Tepee Flats is a great place to stretch your legs a bit.
On a beautiful day you obtain
a view of Oregon Butte from Round Lake; a cool spot to go to is Drumlummen Point. Camping is available at Wildhorse Lake Campground, and get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Clearwater River - South Fork. Yeah, come here
to Round Lake for a great time. If the weather is magnificent here at Round Lake, you can go for a hike along the Pilot Knob Trail; a glorious location for whitewater paddling is Salmon River - South Fork.
