You'll meet a lot of folks from Coeur d'Alene here, and not far from Round Lake you'll stumble on Chatcolet Lake which is a striking lake. Through the summer months here at Round Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Round Lake. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Round Lake. La Quinta

| | Inn AND Suites Coeur D'Alene East is a great place to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the White Pine National Recreation Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Round Lake has to offer, you can camp at Heyburn State Park; going for a hike on the White Pine Scenic Drive is always a delightful adventure. for example Benewah Lake. Be careful coming to the Clearwater Mountains, you might not ever want to go back home again. Get soaked paddling on St. Maries River.
The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Round Lake
gets a typical amount of rainfall; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest of the months is July. Yeah, come up here to the Clearwater Mountains for a brilliant time. There's so much to do here at Round Lake that
you need to camp here for a while, Bell Bay Campground is a delightful spot for that, and there is a nice hiking trail nearby called the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail.

This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on wolf bay. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around.... |
