Round Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Round Lake is a place with many visitors from Coeur d'Alene, and you're in all probability into lakes, Chatcolet Lake is one of those close by. During the summertime months here at Round Lake, high temperatures typically get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Mountains, just impressive. Lakes are magnificent; Benewah Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Round Lake, and tremendous hiking is available along the White Pine Scenic Drive. And that's not all there is to do here in
the Clearwater Mountains. Whitewater paddling is great on St. Maries River. Yeah, come here to Round Lake for a great time. There's so much to do here at Round Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Heyburn State Park is a magnificent
site for that, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Lake; White Pine National Recreation Trail is a nice local trail. Round Lake is a good location of normal precipitation; the month with most of the snow is December; the driest month of the year is July.

Coeur D' Alene KOA
 | 14 miles away This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on wolf bay. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around.... |
