Rocky Lake

Marsh Creek has a type II-III part of whitewater close by. The 6-mile-long State Highway 21 to Middle Fork Salmon portion is delightful to run. If you donít want to risk getting dripping wet this part of Marsh Creek is most likely not for you. On close by Rapid River you run into a grade IV stretch of whitewater; the Float Creek to confluence with Middle Fork Salmon sector is 13 miles long. This sector of Rapid River is advised for paddlers of medium familiarity.
Of course, paddling is exciting but risky; check current conditions ahead of going. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Josephus Lake; at Rocky Lake you can spot Ruffneck Peak.
