Rock Lakes is a location that is reasonably dehydrated typically; through December this area sees the most snow; July is when it's the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Rock Lakes. On a great day at Rock Lakes you can take a hike along the South Fork Trail, and in the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Loon Creek. Man, is there a heap of entertaining       things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Rock Creek Campground is a perfect place to camp; Camas Creek is a fine whitewater spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at South Fork Campground; lakes are such serene places, why not go to Cache Creek Lakes. Through the long summer days at Rock Lakes highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 30's. Daytime highs during the                  wintertime are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Rock Lakes are in the-10's. So much exciting stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too magnificent to be true. Redfish Lake Lodge is a glorious location to get some rest, and the Waterfall Trail is a delightful hiking trail nearby. Near Rock Lakes you hit upon the Waterfall Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and the summit of Sleeping Deer Mountain can be distinguished from Rock Lakes.
