If you are traveling by, why not stop by Rock Lake. You clearly must go for the Salmon River Mountains. While you're here at Rock Lake you can take a hike along the South Fork Sheep Creek Trail; Prospector Lodge & Cabins is a fine place to get some rest. Rock Lake is a tremendous lake close to Rock Lake; Savage Point is a peak you can distinguish from Rock Lake.

| | Skiing at Brundage Mountain is one of those things you just must do; a good spot to camp here at Rock Lake is Yellow Pine Campground. For the duration of the summertime months, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Rock Lake, and the nighttime is quite cooler of course, usually in the 30's. Rock Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so
wonderful. Have a delightful hiking adventure along the Parks Peak Trail, and camping at Shiefer Campground is always a tremendous experience. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Rock Lake; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
