In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, The Reservoir is one of them. The Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Whitelock's Marina and RV Park is a good local campground. Lakes are tremendous; Burchett Lake is a lake that's close to The Reservoir. There's so much to do here at The Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Brigham Young Lodge and Trailer is a splendid place for that, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always

| | go whitewater paddling on Bear River.
Not much rain falls here at The Reservoir; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. Don't leave The Reservoir without first paying a visit to Mammath Spring; near The Reservoir you discover a golf course called Oregon Trail Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at The Reservoir it's a great idea to check out Fivemile Meadows, and Soda Creek Dam is gorgeous.

At The Reservoir through the summertime highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at The Reservoir temperatures sink to the 10's. So
many entertaining things to do here at The Reservoir, too magnificent to be true. This is a nice vicinity for people who like lakes. Hole in the Rock is a lake around here, and if you need a spot to stay Riverside Hot Springs Inn is a perfect choice.

We floated the Wayland Hot Springs to the Weston Bridge. You cannot put in downriver from the Highway 91 bridge anymore. However you can cross the highway and park and put in at the Riverside RV and trailer park. They have a boat ramp and a great place to camp. About a half mile above Squaw Hotsprings, a fence has been hung across the river, watch out that you don't snag your head, duck! After that there really is no obstructions until you get to the diverson about 2 miles above the Weston Bridge. Run this right down the middle.
This is a great family float and a nice flat part of the river for beginners.... |
