In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Priest River; a pleasant close by hotel is Vista Motel. On a beautiful day you get a sight of Nickelplate Mountain from Reeder Lake; a perfect site to camp here at Reeder Lake is Kaniksu Resort and Marina. Whitewater paddling is great on Priest River. Take a side trip to Blacktail Creek, and on a fine day you can take       a hike along the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail. So much entertaining stuff right next door to Reeder Lake, definitely fantastic. Reeder Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Nordman Campground is a good local campground; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Hanna Flast Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant tour to Bismark Meadows is a delightful way to spend an afternoon, and if you need a place to stay                  Holiday Motel is a tremendous choice. For the duration of the long summer days at Reeder Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Reeder Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
