From Red Mountain Lakes you obtain a brilliant sight of Red Mountain, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Camptender Trail. Summer at Red Mountain Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and the night is fairly cooler of course, generally in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Red Mountain Lakes are in the       10's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Sack Creek Campground, and get soaked paddling on Bear Valley Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Sawtooth Range. Man, is there a heap of entertaining things to do in the Sawtooth Range. Whitewater paddling is great on Payette River - South Fork, and the Whitehawk Trail offers hiking at its best. If you came for an overnight stay Bear Valley Campground is a magnificent spot to camp, and after                  a long day outdoors Ashley Inn is a fine location to spend a night or two. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. There's delightful hiking along the Kirkham Ridge Trail.
