The Sawtooth Range scenery is always beautiful. That right there is a heap of exciting things already but it goes on, the Sawtooth Range has it all. From a rainfall point of view Red Mountain Lakes is a pretty normal spot; the month with most of the snow is January, and the driest month is July. Near Red Mountain Lakes you come across the Kirkham Ridge Trail which is a glorious hiking trail, and       Red Mountain Lakes is splendid enough to spend more than a day at, Sack Creek Campground is a splendid local campground. What a site this is for outdoors folks. There are wonderful spots to discover along the Camptender Trail, and Bear Valley Creek is a nice whitewater spot close by. Going for a hike on the Whitehawk Trail is always a tremendous adventure, and camping at Bear Valley Campground is always a delightful experience. Be careful coming to the                  Sawtooth Range, you might not ever want to return back home again. If you need a location to stay Ashley Inn is a great choice, and if the weather is pretty, you get a wonderful view of Red Mountain from Red Mountain Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Payette River - South Fork in the vicinity of Red Mountain Lakes, and Cat Lakes is a nearby lake that you could check out. Summer at Red Mountain Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's.
