Rattlesnake Lake really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. There's tremendous hiking along the Chamberlain Trail, and nearby Dead Man Saddle is a nice place to go. This place, the Clearwater Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Here at Rattlesnake Lake you can see Sheep Hill, and lakes are such calm places, why not have a look at Goat Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you came       for an overnight stay Poet Creek Campground is a glorious place to camp; glorious hiking is available along the Nez Perce Trail. Camping is available at Bruin Creek Campground, and get covered with water paddling on Selway River. Rattlesnake Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; during the month of January you get the most snow around here; July on the other hand is the driest. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Clearwater                  Mountains. The Old Nez Perce Indian Trail offers hiking at its best, and a short trip to Sheep Spring is always worthwhile. Paddling on Salmon River is so much fun, and there are other spots here than Rattlesnake Lake, for example Sheep Spring Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime at Rattlesnake Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's.
