Sheep Spring is a delightful site to stop by                  while you're at Rattlesnake Lake, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Chamberlain Trail. Rattlesnake Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually January, that's the one that snows the most; July on the other hand is the driest. Goat Lake is a delightful lake close to Rattlesnake Lake; a perfect site for whitewater paddling is Selway River. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more cool things to do here in the Clearwater Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Rattlesnake Lake has to offer, you can camp at Poet Creek Campground, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Nez Perce Trail.
