Many people like to go to Rat Lake. High temperatures at Rat Lake during the summer months are in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Highs all through the winter are frequently in the 30's, and night lows in the 0's for Rat Lake. Willow Creek Lava Field is a good spot to go to while in the neighborhood, and camping is available at Grave Creek Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak

| | and hit Blackfoot River, and great skiing awaits you at Kelly Canyon. Sheep Creek flows through this neighborhood, and you should without doubt dedicate some time to Pack Saddle Basin if you're here at Rat Lake. It is very arid here at Rat Lake mostly; through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and July is the month with the least moisture.
