A visit to Ranger Lake is always a good idea. This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Ranger Lake; most of the snow falls during January, and July on the other hand is the driest. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. The Lee Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best; Fort Lolo Hot Springs is a brilliant local campground. | | there is to do here in the Bitterroot Range. Maud Lake is a good lake next to Ranger Lake, and there are other places here than Ranger Lake, for example Siah Lake. Throughout the long summer days at Ranger Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's; the overnight is somewhat colder of course, commonly in the 40's. just tremendous. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Ranger Lake; Sally Ridge Trail is a great local trail; since you're here, you could stop by North Fork Storm Creek. Ranger Lake is right by the Saint Mary Peak Trail; if
you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on White Sand Creek. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Hamilton; Brushy Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot
close by. This lake is so wonderful. The panorama of Ranger Peak from Ranger Lake is gorgeous, and why not camp at Lee Creek Campground if you're here at Ranger Lake.

 | 14 miles away I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore.
