     Be careful coming to the Bitterroot Range, you might not ever want to go back home again. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Ranger Lake called the Sally Ridge Trail, and a brilliant spot to camp here at Ranger Lake is Fort Lolo Hot Springs. Ranger Lake is a good place of typical rainfall; January is when you get the most snow here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Yep, outdoors exciting things to do are beyond doubt abundant here at Ranger  
   Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Brushy Fork offers some great whitewater, and from Ranger Lake you obtain a brilliant vista of Ranger Peak.
Ranger Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range. Soar down the rapids of White Sand Creek in a kayak, and Maud Lake is a fine lake close by. Yeah, come up here to the Bitterroot Range for a fine time. Going for a hike on the Saint Mary Peak Trail is always a great adventure, and Ranger Lake is delightful enough
 
               to spend more than a day at, Lee Creek Campground is a delightful local campground.
Lakes? Sure, Siah Lake is in close proximity, and close by you stumble on the Lee Ridge Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Hamilton, and let's not forget North Fork Storm Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Ranger Lake, and the night is quite chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 30's while Ranger Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful.

I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore. Fishing is best in late spring using small spinners or powerbait....
