In Idaho there are many beautiful lakes, Rainbow Lake is one of them. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Rainbow Lake. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rainbow Lake temperatures dip to the 20's. Not far from Rainbow Lake, you'll locate Cove Lakes which is a charming lake, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater

| | paddling on Lochsa River. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Clearwater Mountains. A great site to camp here at Rainbow Lake is Race Track Campground.

The panorama of picturesque Fenn Mountain
near Rainbow Lake is good, and there's pleasant hiking along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. This place rules, just explore all the exciting things to do right next door to Rainbow Lake. Camping at Race Creek Campground
is always a wonderful experience, and Lochsa River is a magnificent whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Rainbow Lake; Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail is a nice local trail, and Jesse Pass is another good place to check out close by.
