Rainbow Lake is located in the Clearwater Mountains. On a magnificent day at Rainbow Lake you can take a hike along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail; lakes are such calm sites, why not check out Kettle Lake. Just can't get enough of the Clearwater Mountains. A gorgeous lake like Florence Lake close to Rainbow Lake is a good spot to have a look at.

| | trail near Rainbow Lake called the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail, and at Rainbow Lake you can spot Fenn Mountain. The amount of precipitation that falls at Rainbow Lake is close to the national average; the wettest month of the year is frequently January, that's the one that snows the most; July is when it's the driest. can take a hike along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail. There's so much to do here at Rainbow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Race Creek Campground is a tremendous location for that.
This lake
is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Lochsa River for all you thrill seekers, and Rainbow Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Race Track Campground is a great local campground. A magnificent place near Rainbow Lake
is Jesse Pass, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Lochsa River. During the summertime months highs here at Rainbow Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down
into the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Rainbow Lake temperatures fall to the 20's.
