If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Rainbow Lake. One of the main marks of the surroundings of Rainbow Lake is Fenn Mountain; while you're here, you could also stop at charming Florence Lake. So many fun things to do in the Clearwater Mountains, not sufficient time. Get drenched paddling on Lochsa River, and don't leave Rainbow Lake without first going for a hike       along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail. Rainbow Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Race Creek Campground is a wonderful local campground, and there's tremendous hiking along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. The amount of rain that falls at Rainbow Lake is close to the national average; throughout January this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is July. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Lochsa                  River, and a great spot to check out nearby is Jesse Pass. Through the summertime highs here at Rainbow Lake get into the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Rainbow Lake throughout the winter usually plunge into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Race Track Campground is always a brilliant experience, and great hiking is available along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Clearwater Mountains. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Clearwater Mountains.
