If you are in Idaho county it's always a good idea to stop by Rainbow Lake. There are tremendous locations to explore along the Nellie Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Rainbow Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wildhorse Lake Campground is a great place for that. So many enjoyable things to do at Rainbow Lake, so little time. After a long day outdoors Dixie Store & Motel is a nice site to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Orogrande

| | Summit Campground is a tremendous place to do that. Rainbow Lake is one of the lakes here in the Clearwater Mountains.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Clearwater Mountains. A perfect sight of beautiful Orogrande Summit is available from Rainbow Lake. This lake is so wonderful. From a rainfall point of view Rainbow Lake is a rather normal place; throughout January this area sees the most snow while July is the month
with the least amount of precipitation. For the duration of the warm months at Rainbow Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with
temperatures at Rainbow Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. All year is a fine time in the Clearwater Mountains if you like the outdoors. Go for a hike on the Pilot Knob Trail, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Prospector Lodge & Cabins.
