This lake is so wonderful. Near Rainbow Lake you locate delightful places like Warm Springs Saddle; if you're here you can take a hike along the Lava Butte Trail. That right there is loads of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. Lakes are great; Black Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Rainbow Lake; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. Around Rainbow       Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Rainbow Lake has to offer, you can camp at Allison Creek Campground, and if you need a spot to stay Whitetail Club and Resort is a wonderful choice. Not far from Rainbow Lake, you'll hit upon Eden Lake which is a delightful lake; at Rainbow Lake                  you can distinguish Hard Butte. All through the summer months at Rainbow Lake temperatures are regularly in the 90's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Rainbow Lake descend into the 20's. You can run the rapids of Hard Creek in the neighborhood of Rainbow Lake, and on a delightful day you can take a hike along the Broken Leg Trail. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Salmon River Mountains. Stay the night at Hazard Campground, and Hazard Creek is a fine whitewater spot nearby. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Rainbow Lake. Vance Creek is a delightful stream that is worth checking out, and the Crestline Trail is a good hiking trail close by.
