It's always fun to stop by Queen Lake. On a fine day at Queen Lake you can take a hike along the Rutledge Creek Trail, and there's some flowing water nearby, Bussard Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a great place to get some rest; the Queen Mountain Trail is a nice hiking trail nearby. Camping is available at Meadow Creek Campground. In case you don’t have a problem

| | getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Moyie River, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Sidehill Trail. Whitewater paddling is good on Kootenai, and the vista of Queen Mountain is gorgeous. Man, is there a heap of cool stuff to do next to Queen Lake.
