What a nice lake Quad Lake is. The Seven Devils Mountains towers over Quad Lake; Snake River is a splendid whitewater spot nearby. A beautiful lake like Appendix Lake near Quad Lake is a glorious location to stop at, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little Salmon River. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Wallowa Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Windy Saddle Campground is a good place to camp;

Camping is available at Seven Devils Campground, and hiking along the Old Boise Trail is delightful fun. This lake is so wonderful.
