    The beauty of Providence Lake is reason enough to stop by. Summertime highs at Providence Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while Providence Lake night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Providence Lake; Upper Declaration Trail is a brilliant local trail; let's not forget Garfield Creek which  
   is a stream that you may come across while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. The White Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Schweitzer.
While you're here at Providence Lake, you could also pop by wonderful Eaton Lake; after a long day outdoors Inn At Sand Creek is a tremendous spot to spend a night or two. A brilliant close by hotel is Best Western Edgewater Resort; whitewater
 
               paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Pack River.
Do schedule some time to pop by Bottle Bay in the vicinity of Providence Lake if you have a chance, and get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Pack River. Providence Lake gets a common amount of precipitation; December is when you get the most snow here while July is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Do explore Beaver Lake in close proximity to Providence Lake, it's a beautiful lake; if you came for an overnight stay Idaho Country Resort is a good place to camp.
And that's not all you can do here at Providence Lake. There's fine hiking along the Green Mountain Trail, and camping is available at Garfield Bay Resort.

This area has tons of hiking, fishing, hunting and canoing/kayaking in the Kootenai River. The Kootenai Wildlife Refuge is 5 miles away and is great to hike around. We have fishing and swimming in our 3 acre lake and have 2 huge Lakeside Firepits. Some of the sites have BBQs and Picnic Tables and we sell ice, wood, charcoal, pop, snacks and some RV hookup supplies. Here are a couple of great hikes to add to the site:
Snowcreek Falls, Naples, Idaho. Directions: Go north from Sandpoint on Highway 95 to Naples. Turn left on the old highway 95 and go about 5 miles, passing the Deep Creek Inn. You will cross a railroad crossing, keep following the road until you see a brown Forest Service sign on the right hand side of the road. Turn left off of the old highway 95 and follow the road until it turns to dirt and forms a Y intersection. Take forest service road 402, on the left going up the hill for about 2 miles.
