Profile Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon River Mountains. If you need a site to stay Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a splendid choice, and Big Creek Point can be seen from Profile Lake. Why not camp at Golden Gate Campground since you're here at Profile Lake, and you can have a fine hiking adventure

There's whitewater on Johnson Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, and not far from Profile Lake you'll stumble on Middle Lake which is a picturesque lake. These mountains rock, just look at all the exciting things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Parks Peak Trail. winter highs are in the 30's, and night lows at Profile Lake through the winter usually dip into the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. A good place to camp here at Profile Lake is Yellow Pine Campground; Brundage Mountain has wonderful
slopes and a friendly staff. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Profile Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork, and do take a hike
on the South Fork Sheep Creek Trail. From a precipitation point of view Profile Lake is a relatively common place; through January this area sees the most snow, and the driest of the months is July.
