Go for a hike on the South Fork Sheep Creek Trail, and camping at Golden Gate Campground is always a splendid experience. This lake is so wonderful. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the area near Profile Lake has to offer. There are fine sites to look at along the Parks Peak Trail; there are other sites here than Profile Lake, for       example Crater Lake. Don't leave Profile Lake without first going for a hike along the Caton Lake Trail, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not stop at Middle Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Johnson Creek offers some great whitewater, and you can hit the slopes at Brundage Mountain nearby. And if that's not enough there's a lot more entertaining things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River                  - East Fork of South Fork, and dry warm beds await you at Mccall Super 8 Lodge. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Profile Lake; throughout the month of January you get the most snow around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Profile Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. During the summer at Profile Lake temperatures are mostly in the 70's, and the nighttime is quite chillier of course, typically in the 30's.
