Profile Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Yellow Pine Campground is a nice local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Salmon River - East Fork of South Fork offers some great whitewater. A charming lake like Middle Lake in close proximity to Profile Lake is a splendid place to stop at, and magnificent hiking is available along the Parks Peak Trail. Yeah, come here to Profile Lake for a great time. Really good skiing awaits you

A glorious place to camp here at Profile Lake is Golden Gate Campground, and there's perfect hiking along the South Fork Sheep Creek Trail. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Salmon River Mountains. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Johnson Creek, and Big Creek Point is pretty and can be spotted from here.
