This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 70's at Prairie Lakes. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Prairie Lakes dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in       the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back over and over. Yep, outdoors enjoyable things to do are truly plentiful here at Prairie Lakes. Dry warm beds await you at Eagle Crest Inn, and Miner Canyon is a pleasant spot to take a look at. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawtooth Range. If you need a location to stay Elk Ridge Mountain Inn is a nice choice, and Sun Valley has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff. Prairie Lakes is pretty waterless                  generally; December is when you get the most snow here, and July on the other hand is the driest. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Prairie Lakes; Yellow Belly Trail is a brilliant local trail; at Prairie Lakes you can see Norton Peak. This lake is so wonderful. Baker Creek Campground is a great campground here, needless to say you could also go to Little Lost Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. Hit the slopes at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort around here, and if you came for an overnight stay Prairie Campground is a good site to camp.   Clarion Inn Ketchum, Ketchum 22 miles away Nestled in the heart of the Sawtooth Mountains.
