Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with temperatures at Potters Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Payette River - North Fork, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 McCall is a good choice.       From a rainfall point of view Potters Pond is a relatively common site; January is the wettest month with most snow; July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Sage Hen Campground is a great local campground; Blue Lake is a good lake nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Wilson Meadows is right here at Potters Pond; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Sage Hen Basin Trail.
