Porcupine Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Take a hike on the De Coster Trail, and if you came to camp Bear Gulch Campground is a magnificent place to do that. Through the months of summer here at Porcupine Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. During the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Porcupine Lake dipping down into the 0's

| | during winter nights. At Porcupine Lake you don’t see much rainfall; January is when you get the most snow here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
This lake is so wonderful. Porcupine Lake is right by the West Boundary Trail; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Robinson Creek. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Porcupine Lake. Dry warm beds await | |

Porcupine Lake; Sawmill Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth stopping at. After a long day outdoors Squirrel Creek Elk Ranch is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Boundary Creek Trail.
