     Porcupine Lake is a nice lake to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Tule Lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the De Coster Trail. On a great day at Porcupine Lake you can take a hike along the Boundary Creek Trail, and not far from Porcupine Lake you'll hit upon Cub Lake which is a scenic lake. What would winter be without some skiing at Grand Targhee, and a good place  
   to camp here at Porcupine Lake is Bear Gulch Campground.
Porcupine Lake is pretty arid usually; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest of the months is July. For the duration of the warm months highs here at Porcupine Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at
 
               Porcupine Lake fall into the 0's. Dry warm beds await you at Teton Mountain View Lodge, and do explore Sawmill Creek if you're here at Porcupine Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Best Western Teton West is a splendid choice. Get covered with water paddling on Robinson Creek, and camping at Squirrel Creek Guest Ranch and Inn is always a wonderful experience. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Porcupine Lake. Going for a hike along the West Boundary Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood; whitewater paddling is delightful on Falls River.
