You could also check out Wallace Lake while you're here at Pony Lake; it's nearby; why not a little side journey to Arnett Creek. Pony Lake gets very little rain; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. Summertime highs at Pony Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the       40's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Pony Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. While you're here at Pony Lake you can take a hike along the Hornet Creek Trail, and camping is available at North Fork Store. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. If the weather is splendid here                  at Pony Lake, you can go for a hike along the Daly Creek Trail, and camping at Deadwater Campground is always a splendid experience. This lake is so wonderful.
