The Ponds is not the only site close by, Cranes Reservoir is a close by lake; Big Basin is right here at The Ponds. At The Ponds you don’t see much rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. There's just no way someone can get bored here at The Ponds. Dry warm beds await you at SUPER 8 MOTEL - MONTPELIER, unsurprisingly you could also visit Lakey Reservoir if       you're here; it's not far at all. Go for a hike on the Dry Valley Trail, and Summit View Campground is a tremendous campground nearby. Harrington Peak is painless to spot from The Ponds; if you need a place to stay Riverside Hot Springs Inn is a nice choice. Summer at The Ponds comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 40's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime                  at The Ponds temperatures plunge to the 10's.
