There's whitewater on Panther Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and you'll locate a scenic lake called Parrot Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Bighorn Crags is a major characteristic of the region around Pollywog Lake, and you can run the rapids of Camas Creek. For the period of the warm days of summer at Pollywog Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's, and the overnight is       slightly colder of course, frequently in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Pollywog Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Take a hike on the South Fork Trail, and Pollywog Lake is a great place to visit for more than one day, Middle Fork Campground is a great place to camp nearby. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Pollywog Lake. Why not take a refreshing                  hike along the Ship Island Trail; you can stay the night at Parrot Placer Campground. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Salmon River Mountains. From Pollywog Lake you get a delightful panorama of Bighorn Crags, and do explore Ship Island Lake, it's a wonderful lake. Pollywog Lake is a location that is relatively dried up generally; June is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon River Mountains.
