    Why not stop by Pollywog Lake if you're passing through these parts. At Pollywog Lake you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls through June, and the driest month is February. The peak of Bighorn Crags can be seen from Pollywog Lake; don't leave Pollywog Lake without first going for a hike along the Waterfall Trail. The warmest time of the year at Pollywog Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures  
   are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while Pollywog Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's.
This site, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Salmon River Mountains. A glorious site for whitewater paddling close to Pollywog Lake is Camas Creek, and there are delightful places to discover along the Ship Island Trail.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. A range like the Bighorn Crags here at Pollywog Lake is always wonderful; get your pulse rate up on the brilliant whitewater of Panther Creek.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Pollywog Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Middle Fork Campground is a good local campground, and there's pleasant hiking along the South Fork Trail. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do near Pollywog Lake. You could also go to Airplane Lake if you're here at Pollywog Lake; it's nearby; camping at Parrot Placer Campground is always a glorious experience.
