Camping is available at Parrot Placer Campground, and Pollywog Lake sits in the shade of the Bighorn Crags. It is very dry here at Pollywog Lake mostly; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest. You assume that's enough? Just getting       warmed up. Get soaked paddling on Camas Creek, and at Pollywog Lake you can spot Bighorn Crags. All through the summertime at Pollywog Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's with night lows in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Pollywog Lake during the wintertime ordinarily plunge into the 0's. Near Pollywog Lake you hit upon the South Fork Trail which is a great hiking trail, and since you might be in                  a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at nearby Ship Island Lake. The Ship Island Trail is a splendid hiking trail next to Pollywog Lake; a nice spot to camp here at Pollywog Lake is Middle Fork Campground.
