Plateau Lake is a location that is quite dry ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is June, and February on the other hand is the driest. If you came for an                  overnight stay Yellowjacket Campground is a brilliant location to camp; do take a hike on the South Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Monumental Creek is so much fun; Rattlesnake Creek Campground is a fine campground nearby. High temperatures at Plateau Lake all through the days of summer are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
