Sure, Paragon Lake is in the neighborhood; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Camas Creek. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. High temperatures at Plateau Lake during the months of summer are in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place       gets highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Plateau Lake plunge into the 0's. Plateau Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Yellowjacket Campground is a perfect local campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Monumental Creek. Alpine Lake is a brilliant lake close to Plateau Lake, and the South Fork Trail offers hiking at its best. Not enough hours in a                  day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Camping at Rattlesnake Creek Campground is always a good experience; Plateau Lake is right by the Ship Island Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Puddin Mountain is easy to spot from Plateau Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Waterfall Trail. Plateau Lake is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains.
