Not much rain falls here at Piper Lake; May is when you get the most rain here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. If you need a place to stay Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a pleasant choice, and if you get bored of Piper Lake you could also go to nearby Gay Lake. All through the warm days of summer at Piper Lake temperatures are mostly in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.       All through the winter highs are in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Piper Lake. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Salmon River Mountains has to offer. Going for a hike on the Lava Butte Trail is always a great adventure, and Piper Lake is not the only site nearby, Mary Lake is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hard Creek, and                  Canyon Pines RV Resort is a good campground nearby. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Piper Lake. Piper Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Allison Creek Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby, and Little Salmon River is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Go for a hike on the Broken Leg Trail, and since you're here at Piper Lake, checking out Devils Ladder is a must. Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is unbeatable! Do set aside some time for Devils Hole while you're here at Piper Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mccall-The Hunt Lodge, Id is a brilliant place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
