Beautiful Petes Lake has much to offer visitors. Lakes? Sure, Buckhorn Lake is close at hand; after a long day outdoors AmericInn McCall is a pleasant place to spend a night or two. The annual rainfall here at Petes Lake is about average; of all the months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. Petes Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains.

Hiking is a popular thing to do around Petes Lake; Kennally Creek Trail is a good local trail, and a great close by hotel is Mccall Super 8 Lodge. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Petes Lake. Near Petes Lake you find great places like South Fork Buckhorn Summit; Petes Lake is a good site to visit for more than one | |

Through the summertime at Petes Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the night is a tad cooler of course, usually in the 40's. Highs during the winter are frequently
in the 30's; overnight lows during the winter for Petes Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Yeah, come up here to the Salmon River Mountains for a good time. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Buckhorn Trail,
and there are other sites here than Petes Lake, for example Kennally Lakes.
All the outdoors entertaining things in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. The South Fork Buckhorn Trail offers hiking at its best; a short trip to Buckhorn Hot Spring is always worthwhile.
