Twin Rivers Canyon Resort is a delightful local campground, and Bonner Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Best Western Kootenai River Inn Casino & Spa, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called the Leonia Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Meadow Creek Campground is a great site to camp, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Kootenai.

At Perkins Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. For the period of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Perkins Lake tend to be in the 20's.
