This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Kootenai, and Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a pleasant place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Perkins Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Meadow Creek Campground is a great location for that, and there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Leonia Trail. If you came to camp Twin Rivers Canyon Resort is a fine place to do that, and there are some delightful whitewater
spots on Moyie River. Through the warmest time of the year, highs regularly are in the 80's at Perkins Lake while night lows are typically in the 40's. Through the winter highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Perkins Lake are in the 20's.
