Perkins Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the snow falls all through December, and the driest of the months is July. Camping is available at Smoky Bear Campground; Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is a good local ski area. Summertime at Perkins Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. Highs all through the wintertime are frequently in the 20's; during       the dark hours in the winter at Perkins Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Salmon River has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot close by; swing by West Beaver Creek it's a perfect site to take a look at. So many enjoyable things close to Perkins Lake, clearly inspiring.
