Yeah, come up here to the Sawtooth Range for a good time. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Salmon River, and a day on the slopes of Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is just what you need. Not much rainfall falls here at Perkins Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Perkins       Lake usually tend to be in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Perkins Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. Why not camp at Alturas Inlet Campground if you're here at Perkins Lake; let's not forget West Beaver Creek which is a stream that you may encounter while you're here. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range.                  This lake is so wonderful. Looking for something close to Perkins Lake? Pettit Lake is nearby, and there is a good hiking trail nearby called the Bull Moose Trail.
