On a wonderful day you get a view of Bald Mountain from Penny Lake; you could always look at Eve Gulch. A lake nearby is Lake Creek Lakes, and if you need a place to stay SnowRun by ResortQuest is a wonderful choice. Penny Lake is pretty arid mostly; January is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July. There's so much to do here at Penny Lake that you       need to camp here for a while, Meadows is a glorious location for that, and Camas Creek is a perfect whitewater spot close by. Penny Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Meadows RV Park is a glorious local campground; the snow is nice at Sun Valley. And if you're still looking for more outdoors entertaining stuff just keep reading. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Warm Springs Golf Course, and after a long day outdoors Greyhawk                  by ResortQuest is a pleasant site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Dollar Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and a short journey to Guyer Hot Springs is always worthwhile. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Penny Lake; the overnight is rather cooler of course, mostly in the 40's.
