Near Payette Lake you hit upon the Fall Creek Trail which is a nice hiking trail; after a long day outdoors Mccall Super 8 Lodge is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Duck Bay is relatively in close proximity to Payette Lake, and you can hit the beach if you want, Sylvan Beach is practically right here. Whohoo, so much       amusing stuff in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is great! Why not visit close by Sylvan Creek since you're here at Payette Lake, and a swamp like Lily Marsh next to Payette Lake has lots of interesting things to see. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lakeview Village RV Park, and playing golf is lots of fun at City of McCall Golf Course. Why not camp at Buck Park Cabin - Payette National Forest while you're here at Payette Lake, and                  since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Little Payette Lake. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the Salmon River Mountains has to offer. Payette Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. Man, is there plenty of entertaining things to do close to Payette Lake. You simply have to stop at Lightning Point if you're here at Payette Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Louie Lake Trail. Going for a hike on the Box Lake Trail is always a brilliant adventure; AmericInn McCall is a brilliant spot to get some rest. Why not visit Rio Vista Dam if you're here, and you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at North Beach. During the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 90's at Payette Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Payette Lake. At Payette Lake you don’t see much rain; May is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more cool things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains.
