Do stop by Payette Lake while you're in this part of Idaho. Payette Lake gets very little rain; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily December, that's the one that snows the most, and July is when it's the driest. a hike along the Donnelly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. Spend the day on the beach at North Beach while you're here at Payette Lake; on a good day you can take a hike along the
Louie Lake Trail.
But wait, there's more to do next to Payette Lake. An afternoon playing golf at City of McCall Golf Course is always a diversion, and if you need a location to stay Whitetail Club and Resort is a wonderful choice.
This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. For the period of the summertime at Payette Lake highs are frequently in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, frequently in the 40's. Highs throughout
the winter are usually in the 30's with temperatures at Payette Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
So many exciting things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too wonderful to be true. Don't forget to
take a glorious little journey to Williams Creek; one of the best things about this spot is its proximity to Sylvan Beach.
