Do schedule some time to stop by The Hole close to Pats Lake if you have a chance, and you can stay the night at Grandjean Campground. Don't leave Pats Lake without first going for a hike along the Black Warrior Creek Trail, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Azure Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawtooth Range. The summit of Blacknose Mountain can be made out from Pats Lake, and Hagerman Fossil Beds National       Monument is a very great place to visit. From a rainfall point of view Pats Lake is a reasonably normal site; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do close to Pats Lake. Good hiking is available along the Yuba River Trail; paddling on Salmon River is so much fun. All the outdoors exciting things in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back repeatedly.                  There are other spots here than Pats Lake, for example Arrowhead Lake. Powerplant Campground is a nice campground nearby, and there's good hiking along the Hot Springs Creek Trail. Pats Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawtooth Range. Throughout the summer months highs here at Pats Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's.
