     Summertime highs at Pass Lake frequently tend to be in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Pass Lake. The peak of Leatherman Peak can be spotted from Pass Lake; if you're here, you might as well have a look at Leatherman Pass. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great world it would be.

   spot to get some rest; if you came for an overnight stay Wagon wheel Motel and RV Park is a glorious place to camp. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Lost River Range. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always pop by close by Merriam Lake; whitewater paddling is splendid on Big Lost River - East Fork. Around Pass Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is June; February meanwhile is the driest  
               month.
Pass Lake is one of the lakes here in the Lost River Range. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Pass Lake, you'll discover Mackay Reservoir which is a charming lake, and River Park Golf Course is a delightful local campground.

I've rafted this streach, as well as down to Bartlett Point many times on an 8' pontoon boat. Canyon area just before confluence with N. Fk. is pretty tricky. There is a narrow chute that can be dangerous. Lots of fun to be had on the Big Lost! Come try it for yourself, spend some $ in Mackay & tell 'em you want this river kept as wild as possible....
