This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Panther Creek for all you adrenaline people; a perfect vista of pretty Aggipah Mountain is available. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. Any time is a wonderful time at Parrot Lake if you go for the outdoors. Camping is available at Parrot Placer Campground, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Ship Island Trail. Not much       precipitation falls here at Parrot Lake; through the month of June you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. While you're here at Parrot Lake, you could also stop at scenic Pollywog Lake, and why not camp at Middle Fork Campground while you're here at Parrot Lake. So much amusing stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. There are some good whitewater spots on Camas Creek, and on a fine day you can take                  a hike along the Waterfall Trail. Ship Island Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and the South Fork Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. High temperatures at Parrot Lake during the long summer days are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's.
