Not far from Parrot Lake, you'll stumble on Airplane Lake which is a charming lake; if you're here you can take a hike along the South Fork Trail. Parrot Lake is generally a quite waterless place; the month with most of the rain is June; the driest month of the year is February. Parrot Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Parrot Lake is delightful       fun, Middle Fork Campground is a delightful local campground, and hiking along the Ship Island Trail is perfect fun. If you came for an overnight stay Parrot Placer Campground is a good site to camp, and whitewater paddling is fine on Camas Creek. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable things to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. The vista of Aggipah Mountain from Parrot Lake is beautiful, and going for a hike along the Waterfall                  Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Throughout the summer highs here at Parrot Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Parrot Lake sink into the 0's. So many fun things in the vicinity of Parrot Lake, definitely inspiring.
