    Why not stop by Paragon Lake if you're passing through these parts. Around Paragon Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Paragon Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Paragon Lake while night lows are usually in the 40's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while Paragon Lake nighttime  
   low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Paragon Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Yellowjacket Campground is a splendid location for that, and you can go for a hike on the Waterfall Trail. Get wet paddling on Camas Creek; don't leave Paragon Lake without first going for a hike along the Ship Island Trail. The top of Puddin Mountain is easily spotted from Paragon Lake, and
 
               since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Ramshorn Lake.
And that's not all you can do here at Paragon Lake. Paragon Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Rattlesnake Creek Campground is a great local campground, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Monumental Creek. Be careful coming to the Salmon River Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. Yeah, come up here to the Salmon River Mountains for a splendid time. Not far from Paragon Lake, you'll hit upon Echo Lake which is a pretty lake, and going for a hike on the South Fork Trail is always a splendid adventure.
