So much exciting stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too good to be true. There's whitewater on Monumental Creek for all you adrenaline kick people, and Paragon Lake is a good site to camp, Rattlesnake Creek Campground is a good site. At Paragon Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while       Paragon Lake overnight low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 0's. Lakes? Sure, Alpine Lake is nearby, and here at Paragon Lake you can distinguish Puddin Mountain. All year is a nice time in the Salmon River Mountains if you like the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the South Fork Trail is always a great adventure, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Camas Creek. Go for a hike                  on the Waterfall Trail, and camping at Paragon Lake is magnificent fun, Yellowjacket Campground is a magnificent local campground. This location is unbeatable, just look at all the cool things to do close to Paragon Lake. Good hiking is available along the Ship Island Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Darling Creek Bed & Breakfast. Paragon Lake is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains.
