The beauty of Palisades Reservoir is reason enough to stop by. Camping at Palisades Reservoir is nice fun, Big Elk Creek Campground is a nice local campground; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Grand Targhee while you're here. Around Palisades Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls through May, and March meanwhile is the driest month. | | to stay Sleepy J Cabins is a perfect choice. South Fork Lodge is a magnificent place to get some rest; Bear Wallow Canyon is a brilliant location to spend some time. High temperatures at Palisades Reservoir during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's. the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snake River - South Fork, and Palisades Dam is not far at all from Palisades Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. McCoy Creek Campground
is a great campground here. This is no site for people who don’t like to have a good time. Go for a hike on the Taylor Mountain Trail; Palisades Reservoir is not the only location close by, Palisades Reservoir is a close by lake.
This lake is so wonderful. A splendid site for whitewater paddling close to Palisades Reservoir is Pine Creek, and of course Little Sheep Creek flows through this region.
