Why not stop by Oxbow Reservoir if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at McCornick Campground, and there's whitewater on Wildhorse River for all you adrenaline people. Oxbow Reservoir is located in the Wallowa Mountains. If you need a location to stay Best Western Rama Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice; a good spot to camp here at Oxbow Reservoir is Copperfield Campground.

Oxbow Reservoir gets very little rainfall; most of the snow falls during December, and the driest month of the year is July. in the great outdoors just come on up to the Wallowa Mountains. There's some flowing water close by, Blue Creek is a stream you can go to during your stay, and while you're here at Oxbow Reservoir, checking out The Oxbow is a must.
Near Oxbow Reservoir you come across Limestone Gulch which is a tremendous place to explore; do take a hike on the Sheep Rock National Recreation Trail.
