This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Old Man Lake without first going for a hike along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail; Old Man Meadows is a delightful location to check out. The warmest time of the year at Old Man Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's, and winter nights come       with lows in the 20's to Old Man Lake. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Lochsa River, and there are pleasant places to look at along the Meadow Creek National Recreation Trail. That right there is loads of fun things already but it goes on, the Clearwater Mountains has it all. Going for a hike on the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail is always a wonderful adventure; why not camp at Race Track Campground while you're here at Old                  Man Lake. The yearly precipitation here at Old Man Lake is about average; January is the month that gets the most snow, and July is when it's the driest. Old Man Lake is one of the lakes here in the Clearwater Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Lochsa River, and Chimney Peak is a peak you can distinguish from Old Man Lake. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Old Man Lake.
