This lake is one of the great places here in the Clearwater Mountains. There's whitewater on Lochsa River for all you adrenaline junkies. Lakes are great; Dishpan Lake is a lake that's next to Old Man Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Old Man Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Race Creek Campground is a nice local campground, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike       along the Anderson Butte National Recreation Trail. Old Man Meadows is right here at Old Man Lake, and the summit of Chimney Peak can be spotted from Old Man Lake. Just can't get enough of the Clearwater Mountains. The amount of precipitation that falls at Old Man Lake is close to the national average; January is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month is July. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are truly abundant here at Old Man Lake. Have                  a magnificent hiking adventure along the East Boyd Glover Roundtop National Recreation Trail, and get your heart beating on the pleasant whitewater of Lochsa River. Summer at Old Man Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Old Man Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. And that's not all there is to do here in the Clearwater Mountains.
