The summit of Barren Hill can be spotted from Noseeum Lake; St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great earth it would be. Tangle Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit, and a day on the slopes of Lookout Pass is just what you need. This lake is so wonderful. | | the 80's. Summer nighttime lows descend down to the 40's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Noseeum Lake. The Clearwater Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clearwater River - Little North Fork; if you came for an overnight stay Twin Creek Campground is a tremendous site to camp. here in the Clearwater Mountains. Lakes are delightful; Steamboat Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Noseeum Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Noseeum Lake; Old Montana Trail is a perfect local trail. This lake
is so wonderful. Little North Fork Campground is a good local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Nelson Peak Trail. The amount of rainfall that falls at Noseeum Lake is close to the national average; most of
the snow falls through January while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff truly is plentiful here in the Clearwater Mountains. Noseeum Lake is right by the Rukgaber Trail; you're almost certainly keen on lakes, No-see-um Lake is one of those nearby.

1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho. These ski adventurers would hop off the railcars at the summit and utilize a highway storage shed as a warming hut
that they nicknamed ''Buzzards Roost''. Lookout Pass has operated every winter season since 1935 and has a
