Throughout the warm months at Norton Lakes highs are regularly in the 70's with overnight lows in the 30's. For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Norton Lakes temperatures plunge to the-10's. You absolutely have to go for the Sawtooth Range. If you're here, you might as well pop by Miner Canyon. There's so much to do here at Norton Lakes       that you need to camp here for a while, Prairie Campground is a pleasant place for that. Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is a perfect local ski area, and here at Norton Lakes you can spot Norton Peak. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail next to Norton Lakes called the Yellow Belly Trail, and while you're here, you could also visit lovely Little Lost Lake.
