Go to Northbound Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Northbound Lake gets a normal amount of rain; January is when you get the most snow here while July is typically the driest month. At Northbound Lake all through the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. | | that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Bitterroot Range. Go for a hike on the Old Montana Trail, and a day on the slopes of Lookout Pass is just what you need.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Mammouth Springs Campground since you're here at Northbound Lake, and going for a hike on the Shin Point Trail is always a great adventure. Elmer Creek is a glorious local stream, and there is a fine hiking trail close by called the | |

Dead Mule Trail. Just can't get enough of Northbound Lake. Camping is available at Aquarius Campground, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Joe River.

are other places here than Northbound Lake, for example Larkins Lake, and Clearwater River - North Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by. Northbound Lake is one of the lakes here in the Bitterroot Range. Whohoo, so much fun stuff
in one place! The Bitterroot Range is so good! If the weather is pretty, you acquire a great view of Crag Peak from Northbound Lake.
