No-see-um Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The annual precipitation here at No-see-um Lake is about average; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow; July is when it's the driest. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Clearwater Mountains. Go for a hike on the Rukgaber Trail, and soar down the rapids of St. Joe River - Skookum Canyon in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close

| | by is Noseeum Lake, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Old Montana Trail. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Lookout Pass; going for a hike on the Nelson Peak Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. site nearby, Steamboat Lake is a nearby lake, and a tremendous site to camp here at No-see-um Lake is Twin Creek Campground. Here at No-see-um Lake you can see Duncecap Rock, and why not camp at Little North Fork Campground while
you're here at No-see-um Lake. At No-see-um Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are usually in the 30's with winter lows
in the 20's overnight here at No-see-um Lake. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. Take a little tour to Tangle Creek if you're here at No-see-um Lake, and get covered with water paddling on Clearwater River - Little North Fork.

1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho. These ski adventurers would hop off the railcars at the summit and utilize a highway storage shed as a warming hut
