That right there is lots already, but it continues; Newman Lake has it all. There are wonderful places to explore along the Blue Bunch Trail. Through the warm months at Newman Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the winter the highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows at Newman Lake throughout the wintertime frequently drop into the 10's. This lake       is so wonderful. Stay the night at Thatcher Creek Campground; don't leave Newman Lake without first going for a hike along the Camptender Trail. You can run the rapids of Salmon River - Middle Fork in the vicinity of Newman Lake, and here at Newman Lake you can distinguish Copper Mountain. Lola Creek Campground is a good campground nearby; going for a hike on the Bear Valley Creek Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is one of the great places here                  in the Sawtooth Range. The amount of precipitation that falls at Newman Lake is close to the national average; most of the snow falls during January, and July on the other hand is the driest. You just have to have a thing about the Sawtooth Range.
