Taking a little tour to nearby Chicken Point is a great idea, and if you come at the right time of year, Blackfoot River offers some glorious whitewater. You can make out Badger Knoll from The Narrows; if you need a place to stay Riverside Hot Springs Inn is a good choice. Around The Narrows you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is July. This lake is so wonderful. The Narrows is a nice

| | place to visit for more than one day, Grave Creek Campground is a nice place to camp nearby; you'll locate a striking lake called Meteor Hole. This is no location for people who don’t like to have a good time. All through the warm months highs here at The Narrows reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at The Narrows dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Whitelock's Marina and RV Park is a fine local campground, and do take a look at Blackfoot Reservoir, it's a beautiful lake.
